After a bit of a break over the Summer, which stretched languidly into the Autumn, Tuesday Treats is back! Hosted alternately by Dorky Mum, Baby Budgeting, Thinly Spread and Me and My Shadow Tuesday Treats is a weekly round up of blog gems highlighting the funny, inspirational and sometimes weird world of blogging; this week it is my turn!

First up is Pink Oddy with her Motivational Monday, she thinks November is a good time to think about good causes and how we can help others as Christmas begins its approach.

I can’t tell you how delighted I am to see the return of Listography over on Kate Takes 5, I haven’t joined in very often but I always read the entries and this week sees some absolute corkers as she asks blogger to list 5 Great Life Lessons! What would yours be?

We still have pumpkin lanterns peering in through our back window and this post by Mum’s Gone To made me very envious – I would LOVE to be able to visit this amazing field!

I have started some of my Christmas shopping, with 4 children I have to be vaguely organised, and lovely Michelle at Mummy From The Heart offers me the chance to purchase gorgeous gifts for special people with a clear conscience. I know some people who would love a beautiful scarf from FashionABLE, a fabulous company which ‘offers former sex workers a way to learn a trade and be ABLE to … build a new life’ creating a sustainable, ethical business in Africa. Read more about FashionABLE and Michelle’s visit to meet them when she was in Ethiopia with ONE in this inspirational blog post. (If any of my friends are reading this, I wouldn’t mind this scarf myself ;-) )

Annie at Mammasaurus always comes up with a new presentation idea and I was blown away by her fantastic photo story in support of the IKEA toys for education campaign – I’d asked her to write this one with my Save the Children Community Liaison Officer hat on (get me with my new job! :-) ) and she really came up trumps!

As it’s Bonfire Night tonight I can’t write a Tuesday Treats without a bit of crafty goodness! This time it is Maggy at Red Ted Art and her edible sparklers – genius!

Merry at Patch of Puddles always inspires me with her words and her creations, this week I had a little gasp at her crocheted curtain tie backs which I am definitely having a go at! I also enjoyed having a nosy at her bookshelves, I love seeing what other people have been reading!

Still thinking about Bonfire Night I wandered over to Science Sparks for some explosive inspiration and wasn’t disappointed, if you want to make a Firework in a Glass, this is the place for you!

My thought provoker this week was this fabulous post by Down’s Side Up as Hayley responds to Katie Price‘s jaw dropping suggestion in a Radio 5 interview that there is plenty of support for parents of children with disabilities out there ‘but most are ‘too lazy’ or ‘ignorant’ to know where to look or to fill in the forms in order to get it.’

Finally, I asked friends for suggestions for new blog reading as a lot of the blogs I’ve been looking at for clients lately seem to be totally dominated by reviews and sponsored content, Emily at Mummy Limited recommended Oyster and Pearl and I wasn’t disappointed! (Don’t get me wrong, there is a place for review blogs but I just wanted something lovely to read!)

I hope you enjoy my Tuesday Treats, have you got a Good Read suggestion for me?
